After 50 years in the music industry and a 13-year hiatus from releasing new music, Aerosmith returned in full force with the release of the EP One More Time , in collaboration with British artist YUNGBLUD . Now, Aerosmith has become the fifth artist in history to achieve this unprecedented feat on the Billboard charts.
The album, which marks the band's return to the studio since their 2012 album, reached the 9th position on the Billboard 200 , the main album chart in the United States, in its debut week.
With this, Aerosmith became the second band – and fifth artist – in history to have a new Billboard in six different decades (1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s and 2020s). This puts them on the same level as Paul McCartney , the Rolling Stones , Bruce Springsteen and James Taylor .
This year, Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and YUNGBLUD, along with Nuno Bettencourt paid a moving tribute to Ozzy Osbourne at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).
Steven Tyler announced his retirement from touring with Aerosmith in 2023 due to serious vocal problems. The new single excites fans and marks a possible return for the artist who has only performed in occasional shows, such as the VMAs and Back To The Beginning .
